User data deletion
Apps that access data through Meta must give people a way to ask for their data to be deleted. This page explains how to do that with Crescent Live Events, whether you started the request from Facebook / Meta or you are contacting us directly. Meta’s overview: User data deletion (developer documentation).
Option A — Contact us (recommended for WhatsApp / phone / email data)
If you have interacted with us by phone, WhatsApp, email, or our website and want us to delete your personal information from our records, send a request to:
- Email: crescentliveevents@gmail.com — use subject line “Data deletion request.”
- Phone: +91 9665508968
Include enough detail to verify your identity and locate your data (for example the phone number or email you used, and approximate dates). We will confirm receipt where appropriate and explain any limits (such as data we must keep by law).
Option B — Facebook “Apps and websites” (automated Meta callback)
If you used a Facebook or Meta login or connected our Meta app to your account, you can also remove our app from your Facebook settings. Meta may send an automated user data deletion request to the callback URL we configure for our app. Our endpoint acknowledges the request and gives you a status link and confirmation code.
Data deletion request callback URL (for Meta App Dashboard)
https://www.crescentliveevents.in/user-data-deletion/callback
Enter this exact URL in your Meta app settings under User data deletion → Data deletion request URL (wording may vary). The callback uses your Meta app secret configured in our environment as WHATSAPP_APP_SECRET — it must match the App secret in the Meta Developer dashboard.
What we do when we receive a request
- Direct requests (email / phone): We review and delete or anonymise personal data we hold for you where appropriate, and reply within a reasonable time.
- Meta callback: We verify Meta’s signed request, log the request, return a confirmation URL and code, and perform any automated deletions that apply to identifiers Meta sends us. Data tied only to a phone number (for example some WhatsApp broadcast logs) is also handled when you use Option A with that number.
More detail is in our Privacy Policy, including retention and your rights.
